“Move it-n-Groove it” School Program’s mission is to increase the amount of physical activity in elementary and middle school children, enhance and encourage gross motor development and to provide a fun, easy-to-follow physical activity program integrated with age-related content.

“Move it-n-Groove it” (MINGI) elementary school program physical activity curriculum was designed for children in grades K-5.  The goal of the program is to increase the amount of physical education class time children are involved in on a weekly basis, which coincidently has decreased in recent years.

Classes are facilitated by our incredibly trained, fun and fit staff who meet the state CORI guidelines, ensuring the school’s and parent’s peace of mind.  In each class, children participate in a physical activity session that is both fun and exciting.  Schools choose whether to include the MINGI School Program as a part of their on-going after school program or during the day as a supplement to their physical education/wellness programming.

“Girls on the Move”

The “Girls-on-the-Move” Project (G.O.T.M) is a fitness program for girls ages 12-15 years old which focuses on increasing physical activity, self esteem and confidence among girls while involving them in various, local community service projects.

In addition to weekly physical activity sessions, the girls also participate in discussions on nutrition, the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, gratitude and giving back to their own community.

Partnering with health professionals, Move it Fitness - G.O.T.M instructors help girls to focus on real beauty... who they are inside.

The goal of the G.O.T.M Project is to:

  1. • Increase physical activity among girls in the 12-15 year old group (a co-hort many researchers believe show decreased levels of physical activity).

  2. •Improve sports skills, cardio-respiratory fitness and muscular endurance among girls in this age group.

  3. •Create a sense of gratitude among the participants by helping them focus on the needs of others.

  4. •Provide support for involvement in their local community.

  5. •Expose the girls to opportunities where they can create, set their own goals and practice making sound decisions for themselves.

  6. •Place less emphasis on our thin-oriented society and more emphasis on a healthy self image.

  7. •Encourage girls to feel good about themselves by altering their behavior to incorporate healthy eating and physical fitness.

  8. •Help girls realize their full potential through identifying, focusing and developing their many strengths.

  9. •Create a deeper sense of self-esteem and self worth among girls in this age group.
