It Takes a Village Foundation, Inc.

.
It Takes A Village Foundation is a registered, 501 c (3) non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and youth worldwide by creating ways for citizens of our global village to connect with children in need.
ITAVF began in 1995 in the hearts of AJ and Patti Hoff, a husband and wife team and co-founders of ITAVF. Working for various non-profit organizations, they lived in South Africa for almost ten years. While there, they fell in love with the people, culture and wonder of Africa. They traveled to Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Angola, Swaziland, Madagascar, Kenya, Ivory Coast and various towns and villages in southern Africa.
When the Hoffs realized they were having triplets, they sadly decided to return to America due to their high risk pregnancy and started ITAVF to stay connected to their projects in South Africa which includes an orphanage, home to over 100 children affected with HIV/AIDS and a scholarship for African teens to attend college.
Besides the orphanage and college scholarship for African teens, ITAVF’s programs include:
•Move it n Groove it: a school based physical education program to offset childhood obesity
•Girls on the Move: a self-esteem fitness program for teen girls focusing on their inner beauty
•Dresses for Divas: a prom/holiday dress-donation program for young women in need and victims of
domestic violence
